PROCESS

1
At the Parts Depot select the manufacturer and model of printer the heads are coming from. For a list of models we service click here.
2
Add our Printhead Cleaning Service to your cart, along with any other parts you may need. The quantity of Printhead Cleaning Service SKU’s that you order should match the number of heads you will be sending in for cleaning. The shipping that is charged at the time of checkout is for your return shipping from our facility. Pay via credit card.
3
You will be given a service order number and a link to download a Process Form that gives you packing and shipping instructions and a place to complete some details about your printheads so that we can better service them. Include the completed Process Form with your shipment.
4
Prior to removing the clogged printhead, print a jet nozzle test pattern showing the clogged jet areas. Include this test pattern with the clogged heads. Printheads that are sent in without a test print are subject to a $50 inspection fee if found to be unrecoverable. Printhead should be uninstalled and reinstalled by a person trained and authorized to perform this service on your machine.
5
Your heads will be put in queue to be cleaned within 48 hours of arrival. They are typically turned around within two days, but this does depend on the quantity and condition of heads shipped. We use a proprietary blend of chemicals that are customized to the ink type in your printhead, and the level of clogging. Throughout the cleaning process we are checking the nozzle flow in the entire head to assure it is as clean and running with as few deflections as possible.
6
Following the recovery of your printheads we will pack and wrap the heads with a solvent soaked lint free cloth on the jet plate and Saran Wrap the head to prevent it from drying out. It will be wrapped in anti-static bubble wrap bags for cushion and impact protection inside of a crush resistant cardboard box. (see pictures) We record the printhead serial number along with the type of cleaning solvent that was last flushed through the head (customers using a different ink type should flush with their ink manufacturers version of head conditioner prior to loading into their machine).

30-DAY PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE

We usually can recover 99% of nozzles, but do consider up to 3 blocked nozzles as successful. The recovered nozzles should remain unclogged for at least 30-days following our service.

If the originally recovered jets clog again within a 30-day period, print another jet nozzle test pattern and call us to set up another cleaning. Send the printhead and jet test back to us with the same shipping standards as before.

We will do another nozzle recovery. If after receiving the printheads back you continue to have problems, send us a final jet test pattern and we will refund the cleaning price and the ground shipping. We do not refund any expedited shipping costs or additional insurance purchased.
